Our helmet intercoms are equipped with lithium-ion batteries, which naturally experience a gradual decrease in capacity over time. However, you can significantly extend the lifespan of your battery with a few simple strategies:
- Optimal Charging Practices: To minimize battery strain, avoid completely depleting the battery. It's best to recharge the battery when it drops to around 20-30% and try to disconnect the charger when it reaches 80-90%. This approach helps in reducing battery stress and prolongs its overall life.
- Proper Storage: If you plan to not use your intercom for an extended period, it's crucial to maintain the battery's health by charging it periodically. Batteries naturally lose charge over time, even when not in use. To prevent any long-term capacity loss, ensure that the battery is not left discharged for lengthy periods. We recommend charging your device at least once every 2 months to maintain optimal battery health.
